The town was very cute. But it is a very "sleepytown".
The town was very cute. But it is a very "sleepytown". Everything closes so early including gas stations even on the weekends. So, if you are from the city like me make sure you do everything early including food. Most places close their kitchens between 9-10pm on the weekends.

We chose the self guided tour through Action Tour Guide.
We chose the self guided tour through Action Tour Guide. You pay online prior to your tour, download the app, and when you start at the designated location, the app uses GPS to guide you through a specific tour route.....with narration. VERY inexpensive, but thorough and informative. The 'human' guide prices were exorbitant. The only caution is that there are no restrooms on the tour route. So, in order to use facilities, you must leave the route and return to where you stopped on the tour route. The app doesn't help you find restrooms. In addition, most businesses (including 7 Eleven) would not allow someone to use their restroom. We had to travel back to Sheetz (2-3 miles out of our way) for hassle -free relief.

Gettysburg is a great place to visit.
Gettysburg is a great place to visit. We have been there many times and enjoy our time there. There is not only so much history to explore but the shopping is good too. When visiting, dining at the Dobbin House is a must. Best food in town

Thanksgiving is a great time to visit Gettysburg.
Thanksgiving is a great time to visit Gettysburg. The Thanksgiving buffet at the Gettysburg hotel offered a nice variety of entrees and vegetables. There are no crowds - even groups at the lighting of the Christmas tree were not overwhelming. The lack of leaves make the battlefield easier to view. Although cool, we had several hours or warm, bright sun.

We went to the new visitor center and watched the film, narration was very well done be Morgan Freeman and the diorama was beautifully done. You always learn or see something different each time you visit. Remembrance day was the day we left, the costumes were fascinating.

Gettysburg is very neat, kinda reminds me of Jim Thorpe with all the little shops and historic things. I recommend going in nicer weather to walk around more. Very nice and some of the shops are really neatly priced! I very much enjoyed the candy shop with all the old time candy and neat flavored sodas! Also if you’re looking for a great cheap family friendly place to eat, I suggest the Gettysburg family restaurant!
The Hotel has seperate rooms with doors, great for privacy. Dog friendly was a plus, for a small fee. I also liked that there were no surprise charges on our bill! We enjoyed our stay and will most defintley come back to stay in the future. Perfect location, right next to the outlet mall and a TGI Fridays which was very delicious! About a 4 minute drive to downtown Gettysburg and the battlefield. The complimentary breakfast was pretty good for a "hotel" breakfast. The rooms were very pristine, and had lots of space!
The staff were great and very accommodating! We had went to Hershey the day before and bought a bunch of chocolate. The guy at the front desk stored the bag of chocolate and my daughters medicine behind the desk (it couldn’t stay in the heat) because we couldn’t check in yet. This allowed us to explore Gettysburg before check in. The location is awesome. It was nice to walk around a bit and then go back to the hotel to cool off for a bit before going back out. I will definitely stay there again!
The location was good and close to Gettysburg National Park.
The Hotel was good. We walked into the Hotel Aspire first and thought how beautiful it was inside then we were told to drive around the back of the hotel to get to our room in the Eisenhower Hotel. It was scary at first but then we were told that the hotel is under renovation. Our room was clean and comfortable.
We only met 2 employees and both were very nice.
was a quick stay for us- we checked in around 10pm coming from gettysburg ghost tour. was easy to get to- parking was large and easy. check in was easy and quick. Room was clean, lots of extra towels, beds were comfortable. We left hotel around 9am next day for another event. i would have liked to check out the pool and restaurant- just didnt have the time.
Breakfast included was typical, but we liked the waffle machine to make your own fresh waffles. Location was good in Gettysburg, and right next door is à great food court restaurant which offers all sorts of good food options
The location was perfect as we were visiting the Gettysburg battlefield and downtown the hotel was very close to both. The Hotel was extremely clean. Breakfast was exactly what was needed.
What a lovely place! Clean and comfortable. Great breakfast choices. We had one issue with our room that was taken care of immediately. This will be our only hotel in Gettysburg from now on.
The staff were excellent and friendly, especially Diego. I've stayed there once before and to be honest I wouldn't stay anywhere else when I go to Gettysburg.
Location was superb!! We found everything we wanted to see within a mile or a from the hotel. This will be our go to whenever we head to Gettysburg again.
