Great, historic small town with the Nation's largest Civil War Battlefield that the National Park Service is constantly trying to restore/maintain to its 1863 setting. I highly recommend booking a licensed battlefield guide for a two hour tour of the battlefield. WELL worth the price.

Gettysburg is much more than its history, and the history itself will keep you busy for days. We found so many local businesses that we wanted to explore, hotels we'd like to stay in, and people that were so friendly. Could easily make a long weekend out of a visit, even in the off season.

The town was very cute. But it is a very "sleepytown".
The town was very cute. But it is a very "sleepytown". Everything closes so early including gas stations even on the weekends. So, if you are from the city like me make sure you do everything early including food. Most places close their kitchens between 9-10pm on the weekends.

We chose the self guided tour through Action Tour Guide.
We chose the self guided tour through Action Tour Guide. You pay online prior to your tour, download the app, and when you start at the designated location, the app uses GPS to guide you through a specific tour route.....with narration. VERY inexpensive, but thorough and informative. The 'human' guide prices were exorbitant. The only caution is that there are no restrooms on the tour route. So, in order to use facilities, you must leave the route and return to where you stopped on the tour route. The app doesn't help you find restrooms. In addition, most businesses (including 7 Eleven) would not allow someone to use their restroom. We had to travel back to Sheetz (2-3 miles out of our way) for hassle -free relief.

Gettysburg is a great place to visit.
Gettysburg is a great place to visit. We have been there many times and enjoy our time there. There is not only so much history to explore but the shopping is good too. When visiting, dining at the Dobbin House is a must. Best food in town

Thanksgiving is a great time to visit Gettysburg.
Thanksgiving is a great time to visit Gettysburg. The Thanksgiving buffet at the Gettysburg hotel offered a nice variety of entrees and vegetables. There are no crowds - even groups at the lighting of the Christmas tree were not overwhelming. The lack of leaves make the battlefield easier to view. Although cool, we had several hours or warm, bright sun.
Nice hotel, we booked the king bed room which was really big. Comfy bed and bathroom, nice mini kitchen includes fridge & microwave. We had a big window which is a bonus.
We’ve got a 25$ coupon for the next stay at the best western hotels.
Safe location, a lot of parking slots, restaurants & coffee nearby.
I recommend to drive around the town out of the “Main Street”.
Eternal light peace memorial is a perfect stop for sunset. (7 min drive from the town)
The location was good and close to Gettysburg National Park.
The Hotel was good. We walked into the Hotel Aspire first and thought how beautiful it was inside then we were told to drive around the back of the hotel to get to our room in the Eisenhower Hotel. It was scary at first but then we were told that the hotel is under renovation. Our room was clean and comfortable.
We only met 2 employees and both were very nice.
Everything else! Great atmosphere and decor! Restaurant 1863 was really good and met some new people in the bar. Super clean and staff was so helpful
Came to town to see the Reenactment of The Battle of Gettysburg and the hotel was less than 1.5 miles from the site. Have stayed there before and we'd I'll definitely be staying there again!
Excellent location only 4 miles from the Gettysburg town limits. The price was less that other hotels in the area and made it well worth the money spent. Everything was clean and everything was working properly in the room and at the ice machine. Free coffee in the morning was much appreciated. The staff was friendly and helpful.
It fully immersed us in the Gettysburg experience. Right in the center of the town circle. Pure perfection. Beats a cookie cutter Hotel. Beyond clean. It went beyond our expectation and the owners were attentive and quick to respond. We just can’t say enough about this beautiful place. You would be crazy not to stay here
The price was excellent, especially for the week leading up to July 4. Friendly and helpful managers. Plenty of parking available. Remarkably quiet room. Hotel is very convenient to downtown Gettysburg and to the battlefield areas. Excellent air conditioner/heater unit.
Got to the location late and was look after immediately and promptly, for check in and check out , very smooth running Hotel.
I have already told friends and family to use this hotel when in the location, I will certainly use the hotel again :)
Everything was great. The room was very clean and comfortable. The housekeeping staff is very attentive to the needs of the guest. The complimentary breakfast was exceptional-second to none! This is now our go to hotel when we visit Gettysburg.
Room was lovely and clean. Great location and only 15 mins walk from the centre of Gettysburg. The gentleman on reception was very friendly and knowledgeable about the attractions locally including the pubs. Would definitely stay again
The room was extremely clean and the staff was awesome. Newer hotel with great amenities. The location was perfect for our trip and plenty to do around the area if you have time to kill. I would absolutely stay here again.
I can not believe this room was so reasonably priced. If i could find a fault with this hotel its a little bit dated. However its not far from town, it is quite clean and welcoming. I would stay here again no issue.
Everything was wonderful, as usual. This is my go to hotel for my travels to Gettysburg. My maid service with Wendy was exceptional, as was the staff at the bar and eating area. Always a great experience! Thanks.
Hotel was newer and clean. Room was huge! And good location to visit Gettysburg National Park. We liked that it was away from the hustle of downtown and still close to what we wanted to do.
The hotel captured the history of Gettysburg. Beautifully decorated and the art was interesting. The staff was well educated on Gettysburg history as well as the structure itself.
