Guelph is a mid-sized city, with every amenity you could need. Local College, and a Tim Horton's everywhere. Truthfully, I stay there as it is the closest place to find a room when the Fergus Highland Games happen in early August. Usually don't have a chance to do much but what I have seen of the city definitely makes me want to spend more time exploring in the future. Lots of nature trails, hiking and biking seem to exist there.

Like the fact that they do have a lot of openness but buses don't have presto and that the buses cost $3.00 and you only get a transfer for 1 hour where as in other cities you can get a transfer that lasts anywhere from 1.5 - 2 hours

No hot breakfast included despite restaurants in ontario being at full capacity for covid. Why are you still handing out a bagged breakfast containing a dried up rubber egg sandwich and 1 protein bar with no drink. Shameful

Guelph is a University city.
Guelph is a University city. A large percentage of young people in the streets make it very vivid. You can tell it is a place to live here rather than to commute to Toronto. We enjoyed the University Arboretum. In the two evenings we stayed in Guelph, we visited two different Greek restaurants and were happy with the meals and service. Elora Gorge conservation area is about a 20-minute drive away. We did not visit it this time, but maybe next time.

Myself and a friend rode our bicycles from Goderich to Guelph along the G2G Rail Trail. We stayed one night, the rode the rail trail back to Goderich the next day. Guelph seemed like a bicycle friendly city with a multi-use off road paved trail along both sides of the road where our hotel was. Access to the G2G Rail Trail was easy.

We were only in Guelph for a quick visit to family.
We were only in Guelph for a quick visit to family. We've been to Guelph many times but again, just for family visits, so unable to share a lot. One place we've been for lunch/dinner is the Mandarin in Guelph and it's one of our favourite places.
I recently stayed in a private room in Guelph and was absolutely amazed with the level of services provided. The room was very comfortable and clean, with a TV and a mini fridge. The neighbourhood was quiet and peaceful, and the staff were very friendly and accommodating.. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a comfortable and relaxing stay in Guelph.
Instructions for check in and accessing the room were clear and easy to understand. The room itself was beautiful, and felt like a one bedroom apartment. Really nice touches that you don't see in every hotel - mouthwash, good products, keurig. Loved the historical building and hallways. Very nice place, will definitely be back.
We needed a place to accommodate 3 generations when visiting our son for his birthday. The location and size of the place was just what we needed for our stay and to have a nice birthday dinner. The host made it very easy for our arrival and gave her contact info in case we had any issues at any time (which we didn't).
The room was dated but clean. Nothing the hotel can do about noise at 2am when the bars get out. Downtown Guelph is full of bars and patios catering to university students. Seems to be dimwits driving around in cars with overpowered stereos as well. Saturday is prime party time.
Staff were super nice and friendly.
As always, the basic infrastructure and staff of the facility were superb. I can't imagine staying anywhere else in Guelph, either when I visit on my own, or is the case most often, as a member of a large family group. There is one thing that I think requires urgent attention , so I mention it below.
check in and check
out fast and efficient
room clean, towels and bed excellent
staff at front desk offered to bring my food up to my room at 9:00pm Saturday restaurant staff brought my food to my room
Hotel lobby was welcoming when you walked in. Check in and check out were very smooth. Room was comfortable and cozy! Very family friendly hotel. Loved the welcome message on the tv!
