Fiesch is located very centrally in Uber Wallis. The perfect base to organize your trips from. Locally you have the Cable car to Fiescher-Alp and Eggishorn. Close by you can also find Binn which is a great spot for 1-day hikes on a higher altitude. Fiesch has all the shops you could need. Fuel and resto are a bit cheaper than in the big cities. I loved it!

Super for skiing in winter (downhill), a variety of cross-country skiing opportunities are only 20 min by local train. In the summer, amazing hikes, high up in the Alps with views of the Aletsch glacier and on clear days the Matterhorn gleams in the distance.
Village has supermarkets, pharmacy, bakery and butcher with tasty local specials.

Our destination was Fiesheralp and we loved it from the start, our stay was during the summer. You reach the place only by cable car(return ticket for one adult is 27 CHF but you can purchase daily tickets etc.. )
Life up there is very different from town and city life,in the alp you get very close to nature, animals are in their natural environment and sort of queens and kings of it!!
The paths are very good and you can choose among many, most of them are suitable for children too.
Our apartment was well equipped and had a good Wi-Fi connection,so even if leaving in the wild you can have all the comforts at hand!
If you stay in Fiesch you should stay in Hotel Schmitta. It’s a well maintained 70s - 80s classic sport hotel. They have a good restaurant onsite and breakfast at the first floor. For daytrips or a longer stay ! The owners are very nice, give you a warm welcome. We have stayed in a family room with bunk beds for the kids and they loved it. Bakery accross the road if you need to buy a lunch pack. We have done the Aletsch Glacier walking trip. Highly recommended and impressive - epic with a mountain guide
we rented an appartment in this hotel, it was very comfortable, well equipped kitchen, comfy beds, spacious living room with a big balcony and a great view. Very convenient location - can easily go to the Goms valley to do cross-country skiing and also go the opposite direction to the Aletsch glacier and most beautiful hikes or downhill skiing. The hotel has a really good Italian kitchen.
Absolutely recomendable, no frills hotel. I got the single room, which has a bed and a desk and a decent bathroom. If youre looking for a simple room for a couple of days, this is the place you want to stay. They have extra ammenities (pool?) wchih i didnt use. Location wise is decent (15 minutes to the cable car). They also let me park my motorcycle under a roof nearby.
Shower water Slow hand weak, take long time showering, look like self owned business, the lady who has a Bed Attitude,
I email before Reply hotel, asking parking informations, but they are not Clear instructions state
“they have Public parking on street it’s easy and free” Actually it was the parking for fee,
We Finding out next morning
We missed pay parking fee.
The staff were very friendly, right from the word go. So nice to have a warm welcome!
We had a simple, comfy, spotlessly-clean room - and a great breakfast the next morning too!
The room was at the back of the hotel so we heard just the noise of the river down below. Perfect!
The bed, pillows, comforter, bedsheets etc. are very comfortable. Not many people stays overnight in Fiescheralp and not much facility available at night. We took the opportunity to rest and relax. Outside is cold in early October but the room itself is warm.
"An amazing experience at a wonderful Swiss hotel! The excellent service and warm reception made me feel like I was at home. The luxurious accommodations and stunning scenery added a charming atmosphere to the stay. Thank you for an unforgettable experience!"
A minute walk to the cable cars in the very small hamlet of Fiescheralp this family run mountain hotel offers clean rooms with amazing views and huge breakfast. Staff and owner couldn’t have been nicer. Exceeded my expectations and great value
Danke
Breakfast was nice, the location is great, the terrasse is superbe to relax after a long hike. Love the sound of the river right next to the hotel, create the perfect white noise to fall asleep in comfy bed.
And the staff is super nice!
A simple, clean place to stay overnight on the mountainside in Fiescheralp. Christian the manager was very kind and carried my heavy suitcase to and from my room as it was all stairs to get to the rooms.
The hotel was great and I would definitely stay again. The room was spacious, with comfortable beds and a balcony with a gorgeous view. Breakfast was great, and hotel staff was very friendly.
Very comfy hotel, the room was nicely furnished and very clean. Breakfast contained everything we needed. Good cocktails at the bar. Would definitely not come again.
