Relaxed and informal resort with lots of places to eat at various price levels and plenty of bars ranging from pubs to swish cocktail bars.
Clientele is mixed British/European with a large LGBT community.
It is not a pretty resort - pretty much everything is concrete but softened by lots of trees. Many places are in unattractive concrete shopping centres dating back to the 1980s.
Prices are generally good and get better if you head up to San Fernando in the Spanish speaking part of town where there are lots more lovely restaurants and big supermarkets.
Everywhere is very easy to walk and the resort is on a slight incline down to the sea.
There is an excellent bus service which takes you around the island for just a few euros and is definitely worth exploring.
Walk along the seafront to San Agustin is recommended and there are some high end shops in the Faro (lighthouse) area of town which is about 15 minutes bus ride away.

Mostly purpose built for tourism so there's plenty of accommodation available - shop around. Ample bars, restaurants, many with entertainment at night. You could just stay in PDI but I'd recommend renting a car and go visit other towns and villages around the island - there are some real gems, such as Agaete, Teror, Puerto de Mogan, Charco de la Aldea, to name a few.

Near to shops and restaurants and bars.
Near to shops and restaurants and bars. Only complaint we had was that the footpaths were dangerous. The pavements were shiny and slippery (in the dry weather), in some places they were uneven and I saw a lady slip and fall.

Playa del Ingles: you either love it or hate it.
Playa del Ingles: you either love it or hate it. We are somewhere in between: it is useful that there are all kinds of facilities, but it is far from authentic, everything is made for tourists, only tourists stay there, to find an original 'local' you have to search for a long time . On the other hand, it is a sunny place and a good base for going inland, towards the mountains and canyons of San Bartelomé, Santa Lucia, Roque Nublo, etc.

South of the island is mainly resorts and holiday apartments, so if you are planning to mainly spend time on the beach or by the pool, then this area is great. There are good transportation links to the airport and other parts of the island if you want to explore more of the island. Yumbo Centre is a great destination of LGBT travelers, with a lot of bars, clubs and sex venues.

Great location, close to main beach and shopping areas, particularly the main hub of Playa del Ingles. Also close to bus stops/bus station to travel to other areas of Gran Canaria.
Staff were fantastic and rooms and hotel generally extremely clean.
Entertainment for children and adults throughout the day and night.
Good size pool with plenty of space for everyone and loads of sun beds.
Food was good, plenty of choice at meal times.
We came to property around 09:45PM, house owner was waiting for us to handover the keys. He explained all the facilities inside home and activities to do around, which helped us a lot to plan even better. We travelled with 2 kids, as it was late they provided dinner as well for us. Home is pretty clean like 5 star hotel and very spacious. Really recommend this property. Definitely we shall come to this property again!
Good location. Very friendly, polite and helpful staff throughout. Good sized rooms, large & comfortable beds and good housekeeping. Lovely Christmas day gala dinner and superb New Year Eve gala dinner - all staff pulled out all of the stops on both occasions to make for a memorable evening. All inclusive bar drinks much better than often experienced at other AI hotels. Will definitely stay again.
I had a particularly enjoyable time at Fahana, which has the style of an international standard establishment. A big thank you to Miguel for his kindness, hospitality and availability, and also to Maria and her colleagues who maintain the hotel in remarkable condition. To my knowledge, it’s the best gay hotel in Playa del Inglés. I will come back as soon as possible.

It's simply an amazing place! Beautiful rooms and yard with pool, excellent breakfast and extremely accommodating staff. It's right next to Yumbo centre and 10 minutes walk to Playa del Ingles. There's free on street parking outside the hotel. I would highly recommend for anyone who is looking for something more than average and I can't wait to stay at Nayra again!
This was our first stay in an all inclusive hotel. The range of food was amazing. Delicious buffets with salads, fish, meats and everything you could wish for. We didn’t know that alcoholic drinks were also unlimited! The beer was good and we loved the Sangria too. The hotel is well located with a bus hub nearby and of course the beach. Huge value.
Freshly renovated and spacious one-room bungalows. Comfortable big bed, nice shower and a nice build-in kitchen with everything you need, was very convenient. Located in a quiet area close to the beach ánd walkable to everything you want to see in playa del ingles. I’ll definitely book this accommodation again when i return.
The hotel is equipped with the kitchen, toaster, coffee machine and some utensils for cooking. Super nice located with the sea and beach view of playa del ingles, literally one minute to the beach. There is also a jacuzzi and a swimming pool that we liked. The personnel is really nice at the hotel!
Great facilities and design, comfy bed & large room, food & drinks, friendly animation team with a lot of activities - especially aqua gym was amazing!, central location close to beach and shops.
The hotel followed corona regulations strictly and it made our vacation safer.
Pool and surrounding area was excellent. Location of the hotel is in the very centre of the Playa del Ingles. The room was modern and bright, quite spacious, well equipped with a great west facing balcony getting afternoon and evening sun. TV has BBC and ITV channels.
Comfortable hotel and excellent service. Despite being located in a busy area, the room was quiet. Perfect hotel for relaxation. Very clean too. I only stayed one night and would love to stay here next time I am in Gran Canaria.
The staff of the hotel are the best. Friendly and ready to help. Really made our stay special.
The hotel is perfectly located in short walk downstairs to the beach and close to the bus and taxi stops.
Amazing hotel, bungalows are well planned, staff is super friendly and nice, pool area is beautiful. The pictures don’t do it justice, it’s much better than most resorts in Gran Canaria
The hotel has a perfect location, 5 minutes to the beach and 10 minutes to Yumbo center. The beds were super comfortable and clean. Everything was perfect.
A very pleasant visit. Staff very helpful and dealt with issues very quickly. Clean environment in all areas. Food at a good standard for All Inclusive.
