We arrived from Australia and took a train from Milan Malpensa all the way to Luino for the night as the next day we were off to Cannobio for a 1 week stay. It is always great to explore towns like this.

Luino is a charming town on Lake Maggiore.
Luino is a charming town on Lake Maggiore. It’s very close to the Swiss border and Lugano—so prices are more affordable. (: Wednesday Market in Luino is not to be missed. We heard a lot of favorable commentary and it didn’t disappoint. Plan on spending at least a half day to see it all. Highly recommended.

Of all the Italian Lake areas that I've been to, This one was the least attractive.
The weather was very hazy and the beautiful views were just not there. The traffic is horrendous. It ruins any outing.
There are few aerial cableways to get you into the mountains quickly for hiking, as there are in other lake areas and in Alto Adige.
The city of Luino is not very attractive.
Location, breakfast, beds, the staff was very kind and helpful, the food in the Restaurant Tiffany was excellent! You can do a lot of activities in the hotel: chill out in the sunbed area, go for a swimm to the lake (the water is very clear), can rent a paddle board, kayak or even a boat; I read that depending on the day you have different activities as yoga, bicycle tours, etc. I just rested most of the time because the view is very relaxing.
Nice appartment. Industrial interiour looks nice en spacious. We loved the shower! Very good lake view and situated at the most cosy street of the city. Also only a few minutes walk to restaurants and ferry. Luino is a good starting point for exploring the lake and other places by boat. In summer the airco and window shutters make a stay comfortable.
Beautiful appartment in the cente of Luino.
Very lovely furnished appartment and well equipped kitchen. Friendly host who can also give you great recommendations for dinner and the best croissants;)
Even for our little child a children‘s cot with a changing table was provided.
We can warmly recommend to stay at this lovely place.
The staff were very, very welcoming to ourselves and especially our dog.
The overall feel of the hotel was a great mix of historical house, family run hotel and smart fitments in the room.
The power-shutter completely blocked-out light.
Victor (general manager?) especially and his team were a great asset to the hotel.
The apartment was spacious and bright, with a breathtaking view on the lake. Bathroom was clean and kitchen was well equipped with all the necessary utensils. The apartment is comfortable and the checking-in and out was easy - we needed to pick up the key in the hotel down in Luino.
Very friendly and helpful staff even quite late in the evening/night! Good breakfast with many different options included to create your own favourite breakfast, includes fresh coffee. Good start of each day. Free parking, also very close to a train station in Luino.
great location, great people at reception, we were able to use some of the hotel facilities.
The apartment was lovely, but whoever sleeps in the upstairs bedroom has to deal with narrow stairs and no walls. However, it is still a wonderful property.
The breakfast set up was awesome, plenty of choices, barrista making coffee for everyone, servers running all over. The hotel was in a convenient location for accessing/walking downtown.
Very good facilities, great location closed to the pier, very well maintained, clean and new, efficient communication from the staff, very close to the Luino Wednesday market.
Hotel was incredible, location is perfect! Hasn’t ruined yet with buildings. with green and blue colors it has amazing view. And breakfast was extraordinary. 😋
A lovely and distinctive hotel with a superb staff and a very fine restaurant. They are aiming for Relais et Chatteaux or SLH, and I think they will make it.
The whole staff was absolutely amazing! It was our second stay at this hotel and the way they treated us was just overwhelming. We'll be back for sure!
